Biography

He was born in 1986 in Montevideo Uruguay. Get his bachelor in biochemistry in 2009, and his Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry in 2012 both in Universidad de la República. Currently, he is working as Professor at Universidad de la República. He is the PI of the Bioactive Molecules Lab. The mind areas of expertise are infectious diseases in animal and human health. He wrote more than twenty research articles in drug discovery. He describes more than five molecules with successful results in animal models of the respective disease, such as Chagas, Leishmaniasis, and Fascioliasis. Other areas of research are antiviral drug development for HIV, RSV, Influenza, antineoplastic drug, acaricidal drug.
